The Wayfinder™ Series

Seven models. One promise: independent movement.

Wayfinder™ is the federally trademarked name of our vehicle line. Each model is custom-fit to a child's size, abilities, and control needs — from a single switch to a precision joystick.

Unlocking mobility through the power of play

The reality

For children with severe disabilities, the playground can be a place of isolation. Standard toys often lack the accessibility features needed for those with limited mobility, and professional medical equipment can cost thousands of dollars.

Our solution

We bridge the gap between "medical equipment" and "play." By integrating assistive technologies into standard ride-on vehicles, we provide children with a custom, accessible way to move, explore, and socialize.

How it works

We take a standard, 12V ride-on vehicle and perform a "total tech overhaul." We replace pedals with custom controls — specialized buttons, joysticks, or head switches tailored to a specific child's needs.

  • Safety first: 5-point harnesses, remote kill switches for parents, custom-molded supportive seating.
  • The breakthrough: the child suddenly gains the ability to keep up with peers, fostering neurological development and self-confidence.

How the technology works

Each Wayfinder™ is carefully adapted to match a child's specific needs and abilities. We utilize a mixture of adaptive controls: large push-button switches for simple activation, multi-switch setups for directional control, joystick systems for more advanced users, and more.

Joystick controls provide a refined and intuitive driving experience — allowing children to control direction, smoothly accelerate and decelerate, and develop motor planning and coordination. The joystick translates the child's movements into proportional control of the car's motors for precise, responsive movement.

Custom seating and support: torso and head support, lateral padding, safety harnesses, and adjustable seating ensure both safety and comfort while maximizing each child's ability to interact with the controls.
